Platinum Jubilee Weekend
The New Green Community Centre has a Beacon for the Jubilee.
It will be lit on Thursday 2nd June at 9:45pm.
Various events will start from Thursday 5pm until Sunday 1pm at the New Green, Thurston.
Entertainment is free. Any help welcome –

Licensed bar open from 5pm.
We will close the bar for 20 minutes whilst the torch is lit.
Last orders at 12:15am.
Thurst Coffee Shop will be open 10am to 3pm.
Then will reopen from 5pm to 8pm for the Beacon Lighting Celebration Event.
Thurston Butchers will be sizzling the Platinum and the Jubilee burgers on the BBQ from 5pm till late on Thursday 2nd June.
Thurston Butchers will also be serving their doughnuts on Thursday evening. Be early or miss out!
Live entertainment from Lunatonics Duo on the patio from 8:30pm along with music and dancing till late.

PLATINUM FAMILY DAY - Saturday 4th June
On Saturday 4th June the Peppa Pig Castle will be inflated from 9am till noon.
Wiggle cars and other soft play available.
Licensed bar open from 11am.
Welcome to bring your picnic to the green or garden area. Or see what Thurst Cafe has available to relax and enjoy.
From 12:45pm – Jazzercise
In the main hall two demonstrations from Jazzercise, firstly the adults followed by the children.
From 2.30pm
Children’s Disco and party games with Mr. G.
Followed by Balloon modelling, Union Jack making and stick on tattoo.
PLATINUM JUBILEE PARTY NIGHT - Saturday 4th June
Licensed bar open from 7:30pm till late.
9pm – Live music from Booty and the Beatz. Come and celebrate by dancing and singing to all your party favourites from every decade of her Majesty’s reign.
SUNDAY 5TH JUNE
Saffa’s delight available on the patio, come and see South African treats available from 10am.
